   | | | Transportable tablespaces and Oracle downgrading... | Transportable tablespaces and Oracle downgrading... 2006-06-02 - By Ian Cary (C)
I thought I'd give this a test for you - trying to TTS from 10.2 to 10.1.0.4 and got
IMP-00003: ORACLE error 721 encountered
ORA-00721 (See ORA-00721.ora-code.com): changes by release 10.2.0.0.0 cannot be used by release 10.0.0.0.0
ORA-06512 (See ORA-06512.ora-code.com): at "SYS.DBMS_PLUGTS", line 2025
I must admit I'm a little puzzled by the '10.0.0.0.0' as the compatibility for my 10.1.0.4 is set to 10.1.0 but I can't say I'm overly surprised by the result
Cheers,
Ian

Same or higher after computing the minimum compatibility level which in his case is 10.0. He's not going from 10g to 9i.

If I understand the manual correctly, going from 10gR2 to 10gR1 should be okay with TTS.
